Welcome to the IUEC Local 18 web page. The International Union Of Elevator Constructors Local 18 received its charter on November 5 1905, since then we have been proudly serving the people of Southern California and Nevada. The local currently has about 2200 California State licensed craftspeople installing, servicing, repairing, and modernizing your elevators, escalators and other conveyences. The membership takes pride in the jobs they do and has the public's safety as a number one priority.
In the main menu column across the top of the page are several links that we invite you to look thru, if you would like to find out about how to get into the elevator trade click on the "jobs/apprenticeship link, if you are from another state and are interested in seeing our work picture for IUEC members this is also the place to go.
Organizing is the place to go for contacts for anyone currently in the conveyance field who is interested in joining in on benefits of union membership. If you leave your contact information we will gladly contact you.
You will also find office locations and a photo section of some of our members doing what we are trained to do. We have also included a guest book and contact page. If you stop by let us know.
The left column has important links that are open to anyone to explore and a calendar and google search tab. If you need to attend a PACE class for your continuing education requirement of your state license click on Elevator Industry Work Preservation link in this column, once there go to the Pace link. You will be able to down load an application there. The EIWP website will also list a schedual of upcomming Pace classes.
Members resources area is for IUEC members only and can only be accessed once you have registered and have been approved by one of our web masters.
Our calendar is availiable for information of upcomming meetings and other important and social events. If you notice all Union meetings are in RED and Holidays in BLUE.
